Q: What precautions is Mamapalooza taking?
A: All attendees and vendors will be required to wear a mask. All vendors and attendees will be asked to record their name and phone number upon entry for COVID contact tracing purposes. In the event a participant tests positive for COVID-19, our team will use this data to contact anyone who may have come in close contact with COVID-positive cases in our community. These records will be shared with Waterloo Region Public Health if necessary.
All attendees and vendors will be asked to provide proof of vaccination in order to access the indoor portion of the market.
Hand sanitizer stations will be available at each entrance and exit point. Most vendors will have hand sanitzer available at their booths as well.
Vendors will be spaced 6 ft. (2 meters) apart to allow for proper social distancing. Directional arrows will be used to guide shoppers through the market.
Guests will be asked to wait in line, spaced 6 ft. (2 meters) apart.
Q: How many shoppers will be permitted at the market?
A: Gathering limits are set differently for events and gatherings that are staffed/supervised. The current limit for the market venue is 75 people inside and 100 people outside. After taking into account our vendors and volunteers, and the space we have to work with, no more than 40 shoppers will be permitted inside the NDCC at any one time, and no more than 75 shoppers will be permitted outside the venue at any one time. Shoppers who are waiting in line will be asked to distance themselves six feet apart.
Stay home if you are not feeling well, have been in contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19 or have recently travelled or been in close contact with someone who has traveled in the past 14 days. All attendees should self-screen prior to entrance into the event space.
Q: Are tickets required to attend the market?
A: No. General admission is FREE, but shoppers may choose to purchase a VIP Pass.
Q: Is parking available on-site?
A: FREE parking is available on-site at the North Dumfries Community Complex.
Q: Is the market stroller/wheelchair friendly?
A: Yes! All vendor booths are located on ground level, and there are automatic doors to access MacNeil Hall (at the NDCC).
Q: Is any food or drink available on site?
A: Not this time, unfortunately. But there are several restaurants in Ayr that would make a lovely choice. Our favourites are Abe Erb, Gus & Guidos, and Tito's Pizza.
